Start with Mechanics

This video starts a new series of videos by Terry Denery from The Mathworks focused on the topic of "Start with Mechanics". Once mechanics is defined, motor selection, control design, and software development follow. Certainly, an iteration loop will take place, and you will redesign your mechanics to power and control it better. If you are smart, you will employ components that have worked well previously. This is why you want to do this in Simulink where you can integrate the components to build your system, and develop software customized to the unique assembly that makes up your machine.
