Interactive Physics Web
Physics simulation in your browser. Nothing to install.
Interactive Physics, now in your browser
Run, explore and build simulations of motion, forces, collisions and more on Chromebook™ laptops, Windows, Macs, iPads and Android devices. Nothing to install.
The classroom physics simulation software used by teachers for over thirty years, with the same physics engine as the desktop version, plus cloud files and Google Classroom™ sharing.
Hooke’s law – a live model: use the controls and sliders.
What students and teachers can do
Build models
Draw bodies, springs, ropes, pins and motors, then press Run. Basic and Advanced modes.
Measure and graph
Meters show position, velocity, acceleration, forces and energy as numbers, bars and live graphs. Export the data as CSV.
Experiment
Change mass, friction, elasticity, gravity or air resistance and run again to see what changes, and why.
Teach with the library
Featured models, the Curriculum of ready-made models and lessons, and over 170 Physics Experiments.
Keep files in your cloud
Open and save .ip models on the device, in Google Drive™ or in OneDrive. Files open both ways with desktop Interactive Physics.
Share with your class
Share to Google Classroom. Student view keeps the screen simple: run, explore, measure.
More than a set of ready-made simulations
Most simulation sites
A fixed collection of simulations someone else designed. You move the sliders they chose, watch what they decided to show, and when the lesson needs something different, you look for another simulation.
Interactive Physics
Ready-made models too, and the tools to go further. Teachers build exactly the experiment their lesson needs. Students build their own models to test their own ideas: add a spring, change a shape, attach a meter, and find out what happens.
Getting started
1. Get a license
Request a free evaluation, or buy an annual license for one person or a school pack of seats.
2. Sign in
Open ip.design-simulation.com and sign in with a Google or Microsoft account (personal, work or school).
3. Start exploring
Open a curriculum model or an experiment, press Run, and change it. The tutorial walks you through building your first model.
